Male members of this species are known to fight with each other; even till death sometimes. And it is very difficult to find female beta fish. So, it is advisable to keep it alone only.

Zebra Danios: These are the species which can groom well in any size aquarium. However, they need a specific temperature to survive as they are tropical animals. Make sure to maintain at least 70 degrees Fahrenheit water temperature. These fishes prefer to live in group of 3-4. So better you don’t purchase a single Zebra Danio.

Platys and Swordtails : They are actually two species. But because of similar appearance, they can be lumped together. They are found in striking shades of orange and red. They also get along very well with other tropical fishes as well. Platys and Swordtails mate and reproduce quite often in the home aquarium. Their babies start swimming as soon as they’re born!

Leukemia is a cancerous disease. In cats, it is caused by a virus called feline leukemia virus (FeLV). It affects the immune system and various organs of the cat. It causes various forms of cancer and immunodeficiency diseases. FeLV is a retrovirus. Such a group of viruses affects only a particular species. Hence, it does not infect humans and other animals.

The virus does not show any signs of infection just after its entry into the body of the cat. It takes some time to show its presence. It infects the mouth tissues first. It then spreads to the blood cells and lymph glands. It attacks the bone marrow which in turn includes the entire circulatory system of the body under infection. This mostly happens in the later stage of infection.

There are a number of types of feline leukemia, depending upon the organs being affected by it. They are chest leukemia, multicentric leaukemia and abdominal leukemia. The chest leukemia symptoms include breathing difficulties, gagging and coughing. There is congestion in wind pipe and esophagus and accumulation of fluid inside the chest. Abdominal leukemia symptoms are lack of appetite, diarrhea, dehydration, jaundice, constipation and vomiting. The other pet symptoms of multicentric leukemia lead include formation of tumors in various parts of the body.
